Yes, we all have one. A mailbox, or a mail folder, or a directory marked "funnies". Everybody gets email jokes and holds onto them for some unknown reason. Well, I've decided to make my little habit everybody's problem by posting the Internet Humor Archive. It is the result of my having said for a couple of years now, "That's funny, I think I'll keep it."
I've tried to organize the files into some rough classes of joke mail, but for the most part, the archive (over 250 files) remains unsorted. I also went through a peiod at one time where I cut the mail headers off of the messages (taking care to retain any author citations, of course), but now that I look at the dates on some of them, I find that they sometimes lend context to the jokes (e.g. the OJ Simpson entries). I also have a slight tendacy towards nostalgia :).
At any rate, I hope you enjoy the the archive, and feel free to send any jokes that you don't find here to me. BTW- some of these files might have slightly "off color" content, so if blue humor offends you, be warned.
General Archive (the majority of the files reside here for now, unsorted)
