When you work with Maxint Consulting on your project, you take part in a process that's designed to ensure your satisfaction with the final result. First, I discuss your desires for the project and its intended final purpose. During this first free consultation, I will make suggestions about technical details and ask about often-overlooked issues, such as security and scalability until we agree on a design. At this point, if the project involves only fixed-rate services like Web design, I will quote a total cost and ending date, and I'll start implementation.
If the job requires more elaborate services, I may take a short additional period to work out an implementation schedule and provide a price quote. Because a seemingly small change in a program's requirements can require a radical change in its internal structure, the design meetings are especially important. Once a design is agreed, further changes may incur an additional cost. While I try to keep the cost of such revisions low, significant design changes can become expensive. In the case of a change, I will send a new, revised implemtation schedule and price.
Payment will not be due until the project, completed according to the agreed design, is delivered. For all projects, I will provide periodic updates at whatever frequency you request.
